United Community Financial Corp. said Tuesday its board cut its quarterly dividend in half, to 4.75 cents. The financial services holding company, which operates banks and brokerages in Ohio and Pennsylvania, said it hoped to restore the dividend to its previous rate of 9.5 cents.
